As a QA Head, you are tasked with defining and promoting a quality mindset across an entire company. You will be responsible for developing the departmental vision and building the departmental culture and work standards. You will be responsible for implementing Quality strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost, and delivery, optimizing production quality levels, and supporting operational excellence.

Responsible for defining and implementing the best QA strategy, approach, and execution to aid and improve business performance
Overall responsibility for Quality activities across the business
Develop the Quality Management System, updating procedures, and train team members where required
Develop an efficient quality assurance team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Provide technical leadership and expertise within the field of Quality Assurance and Testing
Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the QA strategy as defined
Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation
Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis, and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes
Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders
Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort
Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA teams
What all you need.
15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance of web-based software products (manual and automation)
Functional knowledge and comfort working with following tools: JIRA - Bitbucket - Jenkins - CI / CD - Test Case Management (TestRail etc.) - Cloud - AWS or Google
Experience in driving process efficiency and test automation strategy
Must have experience in performing quality assurance testing functional, performance (load, stress, reliability), and regression. Experience with Agile development methodology (e.g. Scrum)
Ability to organize the team in an efficient way, planning for growth and to inspire the QA organization on the vision and mission of the larger organization and to mobilize groups ability to deliver on that vision. Proven success building a large-scale QA team across multiple platforms and in support of numerous agile teams.
Skill as a mentor, ability to maximize team productivity and individual growth by effectively monitoring quality standards and allocating work across team members
Appreciation of a culture that values the importance of product quality and the impact it can have on customer engagement and business results
Strong organizational skills, able to track multiple test executions simultaneously, and able to synthesize the results. Accomplished in building positive and collaborative relationships with peer leaders across the business including at senior executive levels
Ability to learn and adapt quickly; ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
Possess good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver quality
Be a self-starter with the ability to deliver on time with quality and also handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills and solid interpersonal and communication skills
